You can´t change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying about the future
Looking back I am really proud of myself for getting situated in a place that I had never been to before and is not very "me." I am happy I got to go to Morocco, a part of the world I had never seen before, and back to Madrid, the city I can navigate with my eyes closed and is the reason I am here today. I found 10 English-hungry learners to spend hours tutoring every week, and several Spanish friends to practice my subjunctive tense with. I became obsessed with spinning, the activity that from a far always seemed boring, and even further annoyed by Spanish pop music, a genre of sounds that will forever torture my ears.
And looking ahead... well, I don´t want to ruin the present...so all I´ll say is, I´m not too worried.

Hola febrero!!

I can't believe it's already February!! Where has the time gone? It's going to be quite a busy month for me... Aside from the daily tasks of: private English lessons, studying Spanish, working out, studying French, and reading I have so many fun weekend trips coming up! Here's the lineup:
February 12th-14th: Cadiz for Carnaval
February 19th-24th: Lisbon and Porto for Semana Santa (week off from work)
February 24th-27th: Madrid for Rachael's birthday!

I'm on a...bus...again
As if I don't spend enough time on the bus as it is, I opted to take the 6 hour bus to Madrid this weekend. Here are my observations and findings:
- 100euro cheaper than taking the train
- I ended up with two seats to myself on the way there, not so lucky on the way back
- The "pit stop" is made half way at the equivalent of dean and deluca. Not quite where you'd end up if you were on a road trip in the US
- Zero traffic
